We loved, loved, loved this when growing up, but Mom only made it for special occasions, like Thursdays…just kidding. This tasty treat was mostly enjoyed on holidays, so that made it all the more special.
That started me thinking about a recent Lord’s Supper we shared while visiting our daughter this weekend. No, they didn’t have Tiger Butter, but Pastor Dave wanted us all to be excited about this opportunity to identify with other believers. He also wanted us to look forward to future “celebrations” together. The pastor reminded us that it is a privilege for us to come together as brothers and sisters in Christ. Communion is a time of remembering our life before and after Christ and also a time of reflection on how we are living the lives the Good Lord has blessed us with. So, before you have the opportunity to share in Communion again, read over 1Corinthians 11:17-34 and be ready!
