1 box brownie mix
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup milk
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1(8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Prepare brownie mix according to directions. Evenly divide the mixture between two 8x8 pans, and bake for half of the recommended time. Mix together cream cheese, peanut butter, milk and powdered sugar. Fold in whipped topping. Divide mixture in half and pour over each pan of cooled brownies. Freeze until set about 4 hours or overnight. Enjoy!!
These are two of our family’s favorite flavors they just go together so well! Like cookies and cream, chocolate and strawberries, Oreos and milk, burgers and fries. I’m sure there are a few good “non-food” combos out there, but I go with what I know!
However, I was reading my devotion and two words that go great together kept coming up; grace and mercy. Two words that I love to receive but sometimes find hard to share. Instead of extending grace and mercy, I’m more apt to give a final “I told you so…” or’ I’ll forgive you but I won’t forget” and I’ll keep reminding you of your sins against me… over and over! (Not very grace-like or merciful)
So I find myself asking the good Lord for my grace and mercy AGAIN and please could I have a little extra to extend to others!
Grace- God’s free and unmerited favor, where we get what we really don’t deserve, (2 Corinthians 12:9)”…but my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Mercy- forgiving, compassionate, where we don’t get what we really do deserve, (Luke 6:36) “Be merciful just as your Father is merciful.”
