I made this for Thanksgiving but thought about how pretty this would be for Christmas too. It’s super easy and was a big hit with my family. My friend, Donna Peele had this at a wedding reception and all of the “kitchen help” were back in the kitchen licking it off the plate and containers. Don’t worry, we were behind closed doors and we absolutely washed dishes before re-stocking dip.
It does make you appreciate some restaurants with “open kitchen” designs! Anyway, here is the recipe…
1 8oz. container cream cheese
1 container of caramel dip
1 bag of Heath bar pieces (they are already crushed)
Layer the above ingredients in a pretty dish, in that order and serve with red and green apple slices. (Remember to place apple slices in pineapple or lemon juice to avoid turning brown).
I told you it was super easy!!! But sometimes I think we make Christmas too complicated. We lose our focus throughout the holidays. We pay more attention to the trappings of Christmas and not to the reason why we actually celebrate…Jesus!!!! So, pencil Jesus into your December calendar before it fills up with unintentional things, keep focused on our Savior...the King of Christmas.
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, He is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)
Blessings and Merry Christmas,
