Make this simple chocolate pudding pie when you're running short on time! It's a crowd pleaser!
Cookies and cream.
Chocolate cookies and whip cream.
Chocolate pudding and flaky pie crust.
Any way you slice it (ah, a pie pun) - this pie is gonna be so good! I made this last weekend but I may make it again for the Super Bowl. I'll probably have a few things cooking in the oven and in the crock pot so I won't have much room to bake something for dessert.
I'll probably make it the day before the game - one less bowl I'll have to clean that day! While Drew is watching the game, I'll be in the kitchen.
Eating this pie.
Except when the commercials come on, they are the best part!
Ok, start with a frozen pie crust. Yes, you can make you own from scratch but this pie is supposed to be easy! Pop that frozen pie crust in the oven and cook it according to the directions on the box. Mine took about 13 minutes to cook and then I let it cool for about 15 minutes.
Once the pie crust has cooled, start making your chocolate filling. In a large bowl, mix your pudding powder mix with your milk and fold in your whipped cream. Once it's all combined, stir in about half of your crushed chocolate cookies. Then, scrape all of that into your pie crust. Put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
It kind of looks like Minny's pie from The Help...uh oh.
Smooth out the rest of your cool whip on top.
Sprinkle on the rest of the chopped oreos and drizzle a little caramel...oh my.
I hope you enjoy!
