An easy and delicious make-ahead dessert for your next get-together!
You can have your cakes and cookies...I'll take the pie!
Especially this pie.
I love desserts that you can make ahead and the longer this pie sits in the fridge, the more the lemon flavor develops. YUM! This pie is so creamy and the perfect dessert for summer.
I love that this recipes calls for a Nilla Wafer crust. It puts a little different spin on the pie and I like it even better than the traditional graham cracker crust.

So...do you see where I'm going here? All of these combinations are great but there is one combination that just can't be beat...
Chocolate + Peanut Butter
If you're anything like me, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups were always on your Christmas Stocking list, your Easter Bunny list, your Valentine's Day list and any other list when appropriate.
You just can't beat this combination - especially when it comes in cake form. I was trying out some new recipes a few weeks ago and this one was the clear winner. The cake starts with a cake mix (you're welcome) and the icing comes together in under 5 minutes. I keep trying to think of other things to smear this icing on. Apples? Graham crackers? A spoon?
I think you'll love this combination and this cake!
These cookies are buttery, brown sugary, chocolate-y, YUMMY.
THESE ARE MY FAVORITE COOKIES OF ALL TIME.
I like to bake them until they are golden on the outside and just brown in the center. They get nice and crispy on the edges - perfection. Drew, on the other hand, likes to take them out while the center is still a little gooey. Either way, these cookies are so good!
We start a new bible study this Monday and I am SO EXCITED! It kind of feels like the first day of school. Yep – I was the girl that really loved the first day.
I’ve got my new book (Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer), new pens and a new pink binder. All of these things are great but the thing I love most about a new bible study is the fact that we usually have a few new girls join. I really love getting to know them and spending time with them. There’s nothing sweeter than a friendship built on the Rock.
A pumpkin twist on a favorite cookie!
Only 51 more days until October 1st! To me, the beginning of October is the best day of the whole year. The leaves finally start to change, it's usually a little bit cooler, and it's socially acceptable to decorate your house with all of your Fall decorations.
Unfortunately, I'm anything but socially acceptable because I decorate my house way before October 1st.
This year, I've given myself until September 15th - no decorations before that date. Until then, I will embrace the pre-Fall holiday with scented candles, lots of college football and last, but not least, Fall food!
If you like oreos, chocolate, and cake...this recipe is for you!
Before we get started with the recipe, can we all agree that this cake looks like the chocolate cake from the movie Matilda?
Anyways, if you like chocolate...you might want to print this recipe out!
An easy dessert that you can make in 10 minutes!
Candy Bar. Ice Cream. Pie.
Just let those glorious words sink in, y'all. This pie is too easy...I've made it twice in the past week and I'm trying to think of a reason to make it again this weekend! It's a homemade (or store-bought) chocolate cookie crust filled with vanilla ice cream and chopped up candy bars. DELICIOUS.
The past two times I've used vanilla ice cream, Butterfinger and Reese's peanut butter cups. I let the ice cream soften up a little bit in a large bowl, chop up the candy bars into small-ish pieces and then mix it all together. Pour the ice cream mixture into your pie crust, let it firm up in the freezer for an hour or so and BAM you have a yummy dessert!
The perfect addition to your next shower or party!
Need an easy recipe for a party or shower that people will love? Here it is! These mini lemon cupcakes (made from a box, of yeah!) topped with an easy homemade lemon cream cheese icing are little crowd-pleasers!
I love their little size since people don't like to eat big at showers. I always bake these mini cupcakes without a liner so it's easier for people to walk by and pop one (or two) in their mouths. Just make sure you grease your pans well.
The mini cupcake tins that I use came from TJ Maxx but you can find some from Amazon here. I just make the lemon cake mix as directed by the instructions on the back of the box. I prefer the Betty Crocker Super Moist Lemon cake mix. Although, I only bake them for about 5-6 minutes or until a toothpick comes out dry.
You can certainly use a homemade lemon cake recipe but that's up to you!
Who goes all the way to Europe and comes back with a suitcase full of cookies and chocolate?
One of my favorite desserts - simple and easy!
“Could I ask a favor of you?”
This was the text that I received from Mrs. Louise, my mother-in-law, last week.
My brother-in-law's birthday was coming up and she asked if I could make him a special dessert for our lunch with him. A task that Mrs. Louise thought was just a favor, I considered to be the sweetest blessing.
You see, for 22 years of my life, I was an only child. While I was so happy with my little family of three, I longed for siblings. I asked my mom countless times for a brother or a sister. I just didn’t understand why everyone else had them except for me.
