This recipe tastes as good as the name sounds. You’ll love the salty caramel apple flavor mixed with the buttery flaky crust.
I love desserts that can be served individually. I am the world’s worst pie and cake cutter. Seriously, it looks like I cut them with a baseball bat by the time the slice actually gets to your plate. With that being said, I usually try to steer clear of serving those kinds of desserts for company. These hand pies come out uniform and look so neat with their clean lines - definitely pleasing to the eye! If you are like me, someone with no hand-eye coordination, you may want to give these a try.
The only thing better than this bread is the smell that will come from the oven while you are baking it!
Now that it is officially Fall, I can start decorating my house and plant a few mums and pansies on my front porch. I guess Fall is my favorite time because I feel like my house has been deprived of decorations and warmth since Christmas. Fall is also the time for all things APPLES!
I’ve felt a bit like Bubba from Forrest Gump this month with all of my apple recipes…apple this and apple that, apples baked this way and apples baked that way. But aren’t apples the best? They are the most versatile fruit and I love using fruits that are in season.
With just a few simple ingredients, these Apple Dumplings will become your new Fall tradition!
All month long we will be sharing our favorite apple recipes to celebrate FALL! While I still have a few more of my own to post I wanted to include this recipe from my cousin, Melissa. Melissa made these Apple Dumplings with her daughter, Kayleigh, last week. Some of my favorite memories are from when my mom and I would bake together.
These flaky pastries are super easy to put together and taste better than homemade apple pie!
Seriously, how good do these look?
I can't take all the credit for these. My friends, Garriss and Kelly, came over to my house a few weeks ago and helped me make these pastries. We were trying all kinds of Fall themed recipes in my kitchen that day and this one was by far the easiest.
