This is one of my husband’s favorite desserts. My good friend Jane Wertz brought this over one night with a tub of vanilla ice cream. Now she is my husband’s good friend too. On these cold winter nights, this warm dessert with a cup of coffee is a little piece of heaven!
2 cans apple pie filling
About 1/3 can of water
Cinnamon (enough to cover top of dessert)
1 box yellow cake mix
2 sticks melted butter
Pour 2 cans of pie filling in a 9x13 dish, then sprinkle cinnamon on top. Pour water on top and swirl to mix water and cinnamon- not to disturb apples. Sprinkle with dry cake mix and pour melted butter over the top. Bake @ 350 for about 45 minutes. This is quick, easy, and delicious and feeds quite a few people. Don’t forget the ice cream and coffee!
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others…” (1Peter 4: 9-10)
Whipping up a delish dessert to share with family and friends is a great way to serve others.
