Check out this cross you can use for your front door or fireplace mantle during Thanksgiving.
floral foam cut into a cross shape (can purchase this in large rectangles at your local craft store)
a roll of burlap about 3 to 4 inches wide
coordinating ribbon for a bow (wired works best)
small chalkboard sign for messages if desired
straight pins with large heads
Wrap the burlap around the cross shape. Start by cutting some pieces to put around each point (top, bottom and both sides) then secure with straight pins.
Next, wrap more burlap around the shape being careful to overlap the edges already positioned.
Put some hot glue dots at various locations as needed.
Form the bow and attach with either hot glue or tie around middle with a small piece of ribbon. You can match the ribbon to your decor.
It took me probably 30 minutes to construct it.
Enjoy making this!
