Hey, new moms and moms-to-be!
My friend, Ashley Moore, has a new precious baby boy and LOVES using all of the latest and greatest baby paraphernalia. Here are a few of her favorites that she can not live without. It's kind of like our own Parking Space Faith “Baby Review"!
Here are her recommendations for baby products :
1. The Fisher Price Rock 'n Play Sleeper: I heard about this even before having my baby. Supposedly, the Sleeper was a must have and I agree! It is great for those early weeks when you want them close because they're sleeping all the time. It is also compact so it doesn't take up as much room as the pack 'n play. The rocking feature soothes baby back to sleep when needed and you can even activate it while still lying in your bed! Slide it right up next to you at night because of its small size! Also, it is easily moved from one place to the other and provides a snug environment for a newborn.
2. The Solly Baby Wrap: This is a great newborn carrier and for beyond the newborn days as well. It is easy to put on and use and the fabric is lightweight unlike some other wraps I have seen. That is super necessary, in my opinion, because wraps get hot with the baby pressed against you (especially in the south and for a baby born in summers like ours). I love mine and it is great for keeping baby close but still allowing you to be hands-free!
3. The City Mini stroller by Baby Jogger: This stroller has been awesome. I think a good stroller is so necessary! I heard good things about this one and it has not disappointed! It has a one-handed fold and is lightweight and compact so it's easy for me to handle on my own. It gives a smooth ride and we purchased a compatible car seat so we could just pop the car seat right into it. Instead of getting the snap-n-go stroller (like some people recommend) this setup eliminated the need to buy 2 strollers, 1 for the car seat days and 1 for when they get bigger and don't need to ride in the car seat anymore.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions or were looking for products that were smaller or cheaper in price!
Remember, you don’t have to have a precious bundle to appreciate these great products. They make great shower gifts, birthday gifts, and even Christmas gifts. If you want to contact Ashley just type below in our PSF comment section and we will post her responses on this site. Enjoy!
“Sons are a heritage from the Lord; children are a reward from Him. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full.”( Psalm127:3&5)
A few weeks ago the Sumter community and the Cuttino family lost a very special man. At his Celebration Service our friend's family shared a question he often posed to persons he came in contact with. During his illness, his family said he had them post the question just outside his hospital room for all who entered and just inside the room for each to see again as they left. The question went like this:
"Why do we call today the 'PRESENT'?
...Because every day is a 'GIFT' from God!
So very thankful for the perfect provision provided by Jesus Christ."
I don't know the history behind this particular riddle of his but I will venture to share his intent. As his
family and friends reminisced about his life, one common thread easy to pick out was how much Tillman loved not only them but how much he loved his Heavenly Father. You see, even as he lay facing his final days he wanted others to come to know Jesus as he knew Him. He wanted His last breaths to not be in vain but used to try and be God's instrument just one more time. At his memorial service the pastor read a letter one of Tillman's nurses wrote to his family. She talked about how much his faith had influenced and strengthened her faith during his hospitalization. Think about that.... he was in his last days but he was encouraging the ones who were there to take care of him. I think that takes a person with superhuman strength.... a person who is truly a child of God's, the one and only giver of perfectly sustainable peace.
As many South Carolina communities try to dig out and dry out after the torrential downpours of the last few days, let's remember Tillman's words. Each day IS a gift. Let's be thankful for all we have. Let's remember there are people in our community that lost everything (including loved ones) during this tragedy. Let's reach out to those who need a helping hand and pray for those who do not personally know there's a Father in heaven to turn to as they deal with their losses. Let's be persons of superhuman strength with our Father at the controls. Today the sun is out and shining brightly. May it also do the same in our hearts.
"But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
2 Corinthians 12:9
(May this and many other memories of our friend, Tillman Cuttino, be a continuation of his legacy and may the communities affected by the floods be shone the face of Jesus through it all.)
Walking the road with you,
